About Us
The Langham Family started The Children’s Playroom in 1999 to help parents who need high-quality, part-time child care for their children. They walked the halls of the Tennessee State Legislature to change the law to increase the hours that drop-in centers could care for children from 10 hours a week to 20. The Langhams and a dedicated team of top-notch Caregivers are committed to providing a safe, clean, and fun environment for all children that visit.
What is Drop-In Childcare?
We like to refer to ourselves as a drop-in playcare because our main goal is for your children to have as much fun as possible while they are in our care!
Our drop-in childcare facilities are held to high safety standards. Our Caregivers are fingerprint background checked, CPR & First Aid certified, undergo annual training to receive childhood education credits, and have years of experience working with children.
We are licensed by the State of Tennessee, which includes announced and unannounced inspections every year.
We have games, toys, and activities for children of all ages! We accept Children 6 weeks to 12 years old, and no reservations are required for 15 months and older. In our program, we do not have “spots” and you never have to sign a contract. If you need us, come in and we’ll be happy to serve you!

Monica Barnes- Director
Hello, my name is Monica Barnes. I live in Kingston Springs, TN with my two daughters and our fur babies! I have been with The Children’s Playroom since 2001. I believe the most important skills to have when working with children are patience, flexibility, and love. I enjoy bonding with children and parents daily.
Gini Langham - Owner
Gini Langham and her husband Mark purchased The Children’s Playroom in 1999 and grew the business to the largest drop-in childcare program in Tennessee. She has two grown children and lives in Williamson County.
Caitlin LaFrance- Associate Director
Hello, my name is Caitlin LaFrance. I live in Antioch TN with my husband and daughter. I have been with The Children’s Playroom since 2016. I love getting to bond with the families and children here at The Children’s Playroom. I love seeing how much the children grow up during my time with them..

We are looking for fun-loving, patient, and energetic Caregivers to support our mission of providing safe, clean, and fun drop-in childcare to children of all ages! Our Caregivers have the opportunity to make a positive, lasting impact on the children we serve. Applicants should be passionate about working with Children and have the creativity to conduct and develop games and activities. Caregivers also must have flexibility to work a variety of hours, including some nights and weekends.
